Chuck Todd:

So if Democrats hold the Senate, will you know it in December? If the Democrats hold the Senate or if the Democrats lose the House, do you send your investigative materials to the Judiciary Committee and Dick Durbin?

re \ come back. Jimmy Raskin:

Well, we will make sure that our investigation materials are published and made available for the future. We will keep them. We will not allow them to be destroyed.

Chuck Todd:

But to my understanding, investigation, you’re told you have so much evidence that you can’t finish this by the end of the calendar year. You need more time. The president can create a commission by executive order to terminate this function. And Liz Cheney won’t be in Congress, she’s probably one of the co-chairs. Are you doing it to keep this investigation?

re \ come back. Jimmy Raskin:

a look. It would have been much better, had Donald Trump not pushed House Republicans to veto the creation of an independent 9/11-style commission. But we will make sure that all evidence is preserved. But the main thing is that next Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. and in our report, we want America to understand that there has been a deliberate and deliberate blow to American democracy in an attempt to override the will of the people. The forces that supported it are still there and will gladly do so again. And many of them are running for senior positions, like Mastriano in Pennsylvania. These are the people who deny elections and are basically committed to their party’s victory, regardless of who actually won the election.

Losing a home may not be the end of the 1/6 investigation. Biden could create a commission to continue the work, and if Democrats retain the Senate, they could use the evidence to continue or expand the House investigation.

House Republicans claim that they will investigate the investigation if they win a majority, but that effort is likely to gain little traction with the press and the public because recent years have demonstrated public skepticism toward the blatant partisan investigations that Republicans have used. At home like Benghazi.

The bad news for Trump and his co-conspirators is that even if the Republicans win control of the House, the investigations will not stop, and the basis set by the 1/6 Committee may be the basis for future investigations. .
