Republicans Secretly Asking Biden For Infrastructure Money They Voted Against

Published

on

Republicans voted against the infrastructure bill but secretly begged Biden for money for their counties and states.

CNN reported:

While some Republican members who opposed the law had already come under fire for praising the bills the bill made possible, these letters went further, and went out of their way to demand more spending back home.

Written on standard letterhead in blue and white for the House and Senate, all letters are generous and polite for official government correspondence, and do not mention their vote against the Infrastructure Act.

Nobody mentions “socialism” or “radical spending”. No one included a paragraph about House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy calling the law “urgent and irresponsible,” or Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Green labeling Republicans who voted for it “traitors.” All too often, letters resume signed by members of the House and Senate using the same terms they derided Democrats for using, from the merits of “economic growth” to “sustainability.”

Republicans publicly say the law is socialist and inflationary, but write behind closed doors of the White House demanding more money for their states and counties.

Hypocrisy has no limits. Republicans take credit for the projects created by the new law for all the time they resist.

In other words, Republicans voted “no” but took the dough.

Infrastructure bill and spending are common. Jobs are being created in states and counties, where Republicans are happy to take credit, but still want more.

Republicans are not brave enough to say that the infrastructure bill was a good idea or that reforming the state’s infrastructure is a good policy.

The same Republicans running screaming ads about socialism are quietly begging the president for the money they voted against.

The New York Post reported:

Nikki Scandino has been charged with murder and other crimes after police initially believed her father, Carlo Secondino, had been stabbed to death during an early morning home invasion at their Bensonhurst home.

Sources told The Post earlier Thursday that Nicki is suspected of making up a fake break-in story to cover up her brutal crime.

But the tale quickly unraveled and the alleged killer was also charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the horrific attack in which her 19-year-old sister was stabbed.

The younger sister was taken to Maimonides Hospital in critical condition.

Nikki smiled, but ignored reporters’ questions, as investigators led her out of Brooklyn’s 62nd Precinct Thursday night.
