Greg Blaustein reported via MSNBC:
There are still tens of thousands of votes in metro Atlanta to be counted. That’s why I get Republicans now saying, ‘Insert a fork, this thing is over.
Senior Republicans say it’s all over — but the count is up. I hear reports from strategists aligned with Herschel Walker’s campaign saying there is very little path to victory at the moment for us. You’ll still have to wait for metro Atlanta counties to stick around — but it’s not looking good for Herschel Walker right now at all.
Sen. Warnock is the expected winner, but the race has not yet been called because the cable networks want to see more voting on the same day, but all indications are that Herschel Walker has lost the Georgia Senate runoff.
Republicans were expecting this outcome, but they came into 2022 targeting Warnock’s seat as the top potential pickup, and thanks to Donald Trump and Herschel Walker, they failed miserably.
