Pennsylvania is one of the earliest Senate races seen in the 2022 midterm elections.

A few months ago, Democrat Jon Fetterman looked like a lock, but Dr. Oz worked hard to shift the balance.

Now the analysts at the Cook Political Report have moved the race from Democrats to slander. This is huge.

Analysts Move Pennsylvania Senate Race From ‘Weak Democrat’ to ‘Toss’

Analysts at the Cook Political Report, who forecast the likely outcomes of Senate races, moved the Pennsylvania race from “weak Democrat” to “Toss-up” with five weeks left before the election between Democrat John Fetterman and Republican Mehmet Oz.

Cook’s political report on the rating change made clear that a “key warning” to change the initial rating to a weak Democrat” six weeks ago was not to send Republicans in the race against Fetterman and Oz’s preferred rating. Fast forward six weeks, the outlet explained that only five weeks before the election , “This is exactly the place [they] finding this race” after speaking with Republican strategists and lawmakers who initially thought the state would be a loss for Republicans.

Cooke’s Jessica Taylor explained:

When we shifted the Pennsylvania Senate’s designation to a weak Democrat about six weeks ago, we included this key caveat – Republican spending against Democratic nominee Jon Fetterman has yet to ramp up, and that while Republican Mehmet Oz still has a major problem with his favorites, it “is out of the question.” That this can be undo [to Toss Up] With the elections approaching.

Now, five weeks into Election Day, that’s exactly where we find this race. In conversations with several GOP strategists and lawmakers — who began a month and a half ago putting Keystone State in the losing column — this has emerged as a margin of error race that they see can be won again. Republicans and Democrats alike acknowledge that the race has tightened and that Pennsylvania may be the tipping point for a majority in the Senate.

This is still a competitive race.

Dr. Oz can pull this off and it may be the race that decides the Senate.
