Carrie Lake turns the tables on a journalist who tries to ask the ‘gotcha’ question about abortion (video)

Carrie Lake, the Republican congresswoman running for governor of Arizona, recently turned the tables on a reporter who was trying to ask her a gagging question about abortion.

Some Republicans are shy about it or surprised by questions about it.

Carrie Lake showed how Republicans could and should handle this situation and got rid of it effortlessly.

Carrie Lake flips text about reporter trying to have an abortion “I got you”

While the mainstream media maintains its White House loyalty to Biden and Democrats, it continues to ask GOP half-term candidates for their views on abortion while ignoring the radical abortion policies favored by Democrats along with the economic crises and crime caused by their other failed policies. .

That was the case over the weekend when Arizona’s GOP candidate Carrie Lake was asked about her stance on the abortion issue during remarks at an RNC Hispanic Community Center in the Grand Canyon.

“Abortion is effectively banned in the country now…is that something you support?” The question came from a reporter who was covering the event as Lake embarked on an “Ask Me Anything” tour in Arizona. What the reporter was looking for was an audio clip of Lake saying that she supported a “ban” of abortion.

But Lake, it seems, was ready and waiting for a question like this, as Democratic candidates and their friends in the mainstream media took the lead in trying to make the midterms a referendum on abortion—a strategy that’s not going well toward pioneering abortion. Mid-term voters worry, according to recent opinion polls.

“I support saving as many lives as possible,” Lake replied, denying the reporter’s requested audio clip. “And what I really want to know, and I’ve been waiting, following you all the time, I want to know where Katie Hobbs stands—I’ve never heard you ask her that.”

This is how it is done.

Rep. Jamie Raskin remains a beacon of integrity and transparency as he announces his cancer diagnosis

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has been one of the nation’s staunchest and most principled advocates for democracy and the Constitution, and he displayed the same integrity as he announced his cancer diagnosis.

Rep. Raskin told his constituents:

After several days of tests, I was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, a serious, treatable type of cancer. I am about to embark on an outpatient course of immunochemotherapy at Georgetown University MedStar Hospital and Lombardy Comprehensive Cancer Center. The prognosis for most people in my situation is excellent after four months of treatment.

I expect to be able to work during this period, but my doctors have warned to reduce unnecessary exposure to avoid COVID-19, influenza and other viruses. In addition to destroying cancer cells, chemotherapy weakens the body’s natural antibodies and undermines the body’s immune system. He advised me that it also causes hair loss and weight gain (although I am still looking forward to the kind that causes hair gain and weight loss).

With the benefit of early detection and good doctors, the help of my exceptional staff, the love of Sarah and our daughters and in-laws (actual and future) and our family and friends, and the support of my beloved residents and fellow House members, I plan to get through this and, in the meantime, continue to make progress every day in Congress for Democracy American.

My love and solidarity goes out to the other families dealing with cancer or any other health condition this holiday season – and to all the doctors, nurses and medical professionals who provide us with comfort and hope.

The good news is that Rep. Raskin was caught early and his prognosis is good. Raskin will lead the Democratic defense of President Biden against the many investigations House Republicans are expected to launch when they take control of the House.
Raskin is a constitutional expert who came to national prominence during the Trump impeachment and 1/6 Commission investigations.

He is an essential figure in the fight to protect American democracy, and the same integrity he showed when he defended his country was also present in his statement announcing his cancer diagnosis.

Here he is hoping for a speedy recovery for Jimmy Raskin.
