MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace said President Biden sees nothing political in Hurricane Ian because he has previously promised to provide assistance to Florida.

Nicole Wallace said on her show Deadline: The White House:
This president, this White House has already approved any help that the state of Florida asks for. I don’t even think these statements of disaster have been made, but the help was as though our badly broken politics, this president sees no sort of shadow of anything political.
He has already promised whatever assistance is needed to help the country recover. It is clear that the Governor will seek whatever help and assistance, financial or otherwise, his state and his constituents need on a day like today.
Wallace and former Representative David Jolly discussed the federal and state relationship needed to recover from a natural disaster. Jolie noted that rebuilding the relationship will last for years.
Biden was a perfect example of how to be a president State and local governments should be led and supported after a natural disaster. The crisis is not politicized, and President Biden is not putting himself front and center. The president and his administration allocate federal government resources to help people affected by historic Hurricane Ian.
It is an important change from the previous administration and deserves recognition and reference by Nicole Wallace.
