Pictures of a black man went viral after he was neglected and left for dead in the Alabama Prison. Castellio Vaughan fell into deplorable conditions, losing nearly 75 pounds to an infection after his surgery at the Elmore Correctional Facility Medical Center.
Vaughan’s family allege they received calls and photos from another guest who was concerned about his rapidly deteriorating health.
They immediately began to contact the prison with their concerns. In a recent statement, the Department of Corrections alleged that Vaughan refused medical care and medication which led to his rapid deterioration.
The Department of Corrections claims the black inmate refused medical care for health reasons, and the family says otherwise
However, Vaughan’s family insists that Castillo’s constitutional rights have been violated and that imprisonment must be held accountable. They have also appointed a lawyer and are taking legal action.
Are the conditions of the Alabama prison system to blame here? Or is this story more than meets the eye? Shadow room check…

Vaughan was sentenced to 25 years in prison for theft, unlawful entry and first-degree theft, but his family says that is no excuse for the squalid conditions and treatment he received at Elmore Correctional Facility.
In August, Vaughan had part of his small intestine removed, but less than 30 days later, the infection had overtaken him. It went from a normal 200 pounds to a shocking 75 pounds.
A viral social media post from the inmate’s sister highlights appalling health conditions and lack of care
His sister, Cassie Vaughan, posted pictures of her imprisoned brother on Facebook, showing him completely malnourished and unable to walk or stand on his own.
This post went viral, receiving nearly 20,000 retweets and nearly 8,000 likes as of this article’s publication.

“They made him sit there in the general public,” Casey told TSR Investigates’ Justin Carter. “It looks like a zombie.”
In early August, Vaughan reportedly called his family weeks before surgery and complained of stomach problems.
Days later, they received a call from another inmate informing them that their older brother had been taken to surgery at the prison medical facility.
A viral social media post caught the attention of celebrity defense attorney Ben Crump and Lee Merritt
The surgery arose from complications from a gunshot wound that Vaughan had suffered years ago.
But things quickly turned worse after operation, and the family took to social media and caught the attention of celebrity defense attorneys Ben Crump and Lee Merritt.

“These images are very disturbing,” Merritt told The Shade Room. These images reveal a person in crisis and in need of immediate medical attention. Since his return to custody, the injury he has sustained, his inability to eat, rapid deterioration, and loss of body weight.”

Merritt is now one of the lead attorneys in the case, saying, “He repeatedly asked for help, medication, intravenous nutrition, and whatever kind of help he would have had he wouldn’t have been refused.”
Corrections department claims Vaughan refused follow-up care, family calls it a lie
The Alabama Department of Corrections attempted to change the narrative and sent a media advisory late last month alleging that Vaughan refused to pursue Medicare and “opted layoff against medical advice on August 10.”
The press release, which stated that Vaughan had been readmitted multiple times due to complications following the surgery, said he had signed a waiver to release his medical history, which his sister said was a complete lie.
“Wonderful. That’s a lie! Alabama Department of Corrections you all abused my brother Hepa. He didn’t sign any waiver. If that was the case, he would have let me get his medical reports/his history. He is not in the right mental state to sign any. something “.

The department added that it “provides medical evaluation and treatment for all inmates, but does not force them to accept treatment.
Alabama Prison System Established by the Department of Justice to Violate Its Constitutional Rights, Abusive Videos Show Appalling Conditions
Alabama’s prison system has been under scrutiny for years. The Shadow Chamber obtained court documents from 2019 that showed the Department of Justice sued the Alabama Department of Corrections for allegedly violating the United States Constitution.

“Alabama’s men’s prisons remained overcrowded, (and) inmate murders…and sexual assaults increased,” the lawsuit read. “Physical facilities remained inadequate, and the use of excessive force by security personnel remains common.”
There is a video to prove it.
An inmate in distress is beaten up by prison guards at Elmore Correctional Facility.
One clip sent to an AOL.com reporter earlier this year shows an inmate at Elmore Correctional Facility on the roof of an apparently distressed prison building.
The corrections officer can be seen pulling the inmate off the ledge before hitting him.
Inmates Across State Strike Over Prison Jobs To Protest Conditions, GoFundMe Set Up For Vaughan Family
And not just Elmore. An hour away at the Bullock County Correctional Facility, a video clip shows inmates languishing in similar dilapidated conditions.
Inmates across the state have started a strike from their prison jobs in an effort to bring about change in the Alabama prison system.

Since then, GoFundMe has been organized by Vaughan’s sister, which has raised $52,583 from an initial target of just $12,000. Those wishing to donate can do so over here.

Hello, are you there. Yes you! Ever wonder what Casterly Rock looks like? to me George RR MartinThere was “a certain amount of confusion” about the appearance of House Lannister’s ancestral home. Luckilygame of thronesFans everywhere, Martin is taking a break from his hard workWinter winds To clarify a question no one is asking.
On his trusted blog, Martin posted a lengthy world-building meditation intended to “relieve” any confusion about Casterly Rock. “A certain amount of confusion” is an awfully slippery term, isn’t it? on condition Thrones Fans at the gates of King’s Landing didn’t exactly chatter about it, and I’ll interpret that to mean “little or nothing.” In the blog post, Martin shared a (very low-res) illustration by Ted Nasmith, whose paintings of Westeros were used in game of thrones Calendars plus files worldbook companionThe world of ice and fire. “Ted got every little detail right,” Martin wrote, retracting many of the architectural features Nesmith extracted from his novels. The author continued, “If you look closely, here and there scattered up and down the face of the stand, you can see windows and arrow slits.” It’s impossible to see those features in this adorable photo, so I suppose we’ll have to take his word for it.

You see, Martin has a bone to pick with how fans imagine this scene. “Lannister Castle is not at the top of the rock,” he asserted. “It’s inside the rock.” Should the man insist on controlling how readers conceive of his worlds within the privacy of their own imagination? What does it matter – and how does any of this criticism bring him closer to ending the series once and for all? Martin seems to acknowledge the futility of this blog post, writing, “What does all this mean? Probably nothing. I just wanted to set the record straight. Give you everything to think about.” (And maybe put an end to all these pictures of a little rock with a castle on top .)”

The author notes that his novels never pay a proper visit to Casterly Rock; Although the Lannister stronghold has been mentioned hundreds of times, as well as glimpses through characters’ flashbacks, it never really puts the story there in the proper timeline. But maybe it will change. “I hope Casterly Rock doesn’t stay offstage forever,” he wrote. “I have two more novels, and my plan is to have one or more of my point-of-view characters visit The Rock Inn Winter winds or Spring dreamso that I may show you all the wonders, horrors, and treasures of House Lannister first hand.”
At this point, he’s just teasing us, right? Hey George – While things rest, do them Winter winds Next!

“Yes. Yes. Because there is so much fun I can have in telling this story,” Cosby said. “Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it better to say it than to write it.”
The 85-year-old was convicted of criminal sexual assault in April 2018. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court then overturned the conviction in 2021. In June, he made a post on Instagram celebrating his one-year release date.
Bell wrote, “After 2 years and 10 months of fighting for my life and the truth, it feels like one year of freedom at home with my family (at least that’s what my wife says).”
However, the assault accusations are persistent. In early December, five women submitted a new application sexual assault lawsuit against Bill Cosby and NBC. Four women, filed in New York, said Cosby forced them to have sex or raped them between the 1980s and 1990s. The fifth woman says Cosby raped her in 1969. Comedian Andrew White called the suit “frivolous.”
Wyatt too confirmed to diverse That the former actor’s plans to tour are legit. He said that Cosby “Consider spring/summer to start touring.”
The tour can also be a response to Compensation award of $500,000 Cosby owes a debt to Judy Huth. Judy won a civil case against Bell in June, accusing him of sexually assaulting her when she was 16 years old in 1975.

At the time of the ruling, White Hoth said “I will never be paid by Mr. Cosby.” He also alleged that Huth owed her legal team more than $3 million, which Jodie’s attorney, Gloria Allred, later denied.
“Mr. Cosby’s spokesperson appears to be trying to wring victory from the jaws of Mr. Cosby’s massive defeat. Ms. Huth has no legal bills for fees with my law firm.”
Twitter users react to Bill Cosby’s contemplative tour of the year 2023
After Cosby’s surprise announcement, people on Twitter started flocking to him. The tweets highlighted multiple angles, from congratulations to ticket sales, cancel culture, and his “boldness” — in light of accusations that have reportedly come from more than 50 women since 2005.
Bill Cosby is going on tour. Louis CK and Chris D’Elia are already on tour. Trevor Bauer is back in the MLB. Donald Trump is running for president again. Matt Gaetz retained his seat. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Tell me again, how did cancel culture go so far?
It was strange how blind and vulnerable Bill Cosby acted during his trial, now that he’s been back on tour since he left. I hope people will show up and tease him again.
