Trump refuses to comply with Mr.’s order to check the list of items taken from Mar-a-Lago.
According to a letter publicly filed by Trump’s lawyers on Wednesday, the former president’s legal team told Senior U.S. Judge Raymond Deere, who is reviewing material taken in the federal raid on Florida property, that they do not believe Deere has the authority to require them to make such a filing.

The Derry order asked Trump to list any items seized, but not listed in inventory, any items not seized and erroneously listed, as well as any potential inventory errors around the location of seized items.
Trump now refuses to follow the orders of the special master he wants
Trump demanded a special master. The former president was the one who nominated Justice Derry for this position, and the Department of Justice seems really smart to immediately agree to Derry.
Donald Trump and his legal team are now battling their own master, as they clearly only want the special master as a stall tactic to get the case of classified documents during the midterm elections.
Judge Deere did not play all the way and instead moved quickly to resolve the issue and treat the process as a legal proceeding.
Mr. Special is a disaster Trump has created for himself, and he is now trying to work his way out of a process that has only added credibility and legitimacy to the Justice Department’s investigation while making the former president look worse.
Donald Trump has a problem of his own makingAnd by the time Judge Derry is finished, all of Trump’s defenses and excuses for theft and mishandling of government documents could be shattered.
